Braves or Nats?

This past Thursday the Atlanta Braves were in town and if anyone knows my husband, he grew up watching the Braves since he was weee big, so without any doubt it was without question for us to go to the baseball game. It was a 3-game series verse the Washington Nationals and we made our way to the third game.  We knew it was going to be a good game since each team both won a game prior and it definitely was a good game.  We couldn't have asked for better weather either.  The Nats were up 2-0 until the 7th inning when the Braves tied it, 2-2.  It was getting late and we wanted to beat the crowd, but couldn't resist stopping at every TV on our way out of the stadium watching the game to see who would be the winner.  Now, this time last year, there would have been no doubt that the Braves would have blown the Nats away in a series game...but this season the Nats have turned out to be pretty decent and almost worth watching.  And in deed, the Nats were able to pull of the second win of the three-game series.

Beau and I sported our Braves gear while Benton went all out in his Nationals jersey.  It was pretty funny when were walking around the ballpark with 2 Braves fans and 1 Nats fan.  We definitely got some double-lookers and the people sitting below us as well as the usher asked about our family team.  We told them we wanted Benton to root for his home team!

Getting changed in the car--getting geared up for the game!!

Trying to take our picture with Teddy.  Benton was NOT a fan.
*Every baseball game in between innings, the presidents, Teddy Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington do a race around the field.  Teddy never wins.

A baseball "slide".

Benton and I.

Vanessa, one of our friends, joined us as well.
She eating typical basball game food--hot dogs and chili!
Yummy!!!
