Lucky 13

Have you heard of the number 13 being a lucky number? There are many people who think 13 is not a lucky number.  For example, Friday the 13th.  This day is when the unsuperstitious becomes superstitious and you do everything in your power not to break a mirror, or cross a path that a black cat just walked, or anything else that might bring you bad luck.  Well, yesterday, 13 became a lucky number.  It was a very special day for us.

We couldn't have asked for a better day.  A day to spend with our family and a day that Benton was born into the community of a christian life, his baptism.  It happened on the day he turned 13 months and a day or a number, for that matter, that we will not forgot and will consider lucky.

We were lucky.  Lucky that we have a perfect healthy boy that can lighten up and put a smile on anyone's face, even a stranger.  We were lucky that most of our family members could up to our "world" and were able to spend some much needed time with Benton.  And last but not least, we were lucky that God witnessed this most amazing ritual.

From now on, the number 13 will symbolize so much more than being lucky.

*I will post pictures from Benton's baptism once I find the connector cord for my camera.  This is what happens when you clean the house and then forget where you put things!
